Spellcheck

Use the browser's spelling dictionary for the target language while editing a segment.

Both editors run your browser's native spellchecker on the target text, in the target language. Typos get the familiar red underline; right-click for corrections, exactly as in any editor you already use.

How it works

The editing field is tagged with the document's target language, so the browser checks against the right dictionary: French translations get French spellcheck even if your browser is set to English. There is nothing to configure.

Available dictionaries depend on your browser and operating system. If a language shows no underlines at all, your browser may need its dictionary for that language installed.

Spellcheck stays in the browser

The editor marks the field with the document's target language and leaves spelling suggestions to the browser. No target text is sent to a separate spelling service. Dictionary coverage and suggested corrections therefore depend on the browser and operating system.
