Revision comparison

Compare a revised DOCX with an earlier translated version, review the changed sentences, and retranslate only the new or modified material.

Revision comparison takes a new DOCX version and compares it with a document you already translated. It identifies added, removed, modified, and moved sentences so you can review the changes before starting another translation. The feature is available from Translator Pro upward.

How to use it

1

Open Revision from the dashboard

Pick the original (already translated) document and upload the revised file.

2

Review the comparison

Changes are shown at sentence level and categorized: added, removed, modified, moved. Modified sentences show precise word-level diffs; moved text points back to where it came from.

3

Retranslate the changes

Unchanged segments keep their existing, reviewed translations. Only new and modified content goes to the model. Your reviewed work is never silently overwritten.

What happens to approved text

Unchanged segments keep their existing translations. New and modified segments are the ones sent for translation, so a new draft does not replace text that a reviewer already approved. Check moved segments in context before completing the new version.
