Email preferences

Communications & marketing preferences

Marketing email is optional and disabled by default. You can enable it during signup or in settings, and withdraw consent later. Essential account and security messages are handled separately.

Essential emails

Always sent. They are needed to run your account and are not marketing.

  • Email verification and password resets
  • Security and new-device alerts
  • Billing receipts and plan changes
  • Finished-document notifications you opted into

Marketing emails (opt-in)

Only sent if you tick the box at signup or enable it in settings.

  • Product news and new feature announcements
  • Release notes and improvements
  • Newsletter with translation tips and guides
  • New blog posts worth reading

How consent works

The marketing checkbox at signup is unticked by default and separate from agreement to our Terms and Privacy Policy. We record when consent is granted or withdrawn. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing email.

How to unsubscribe

You can stop marketing emails in either of these ways:

  • • Toggle Email communications in your account settings, or
  • • Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.

Either takes effect immediately. Essential account emails continue regardless.

How we use your data

Marketing emails use your email address and account only. We do not sell or share your details with advertisers, and DeepReference uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The opt-in here is about email, not browser tracking. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can request access or deletion at any time via our GDPR page.

Manage your email preferences any time.
