Exporting your work
Download translated documents in their original layout, export to PDF or plain text, or retrieve the original file.
When a document is translated, and optionally reviewed in the editors, you export it from the documents list or straight from either editor. The default export is the translated document rebuilt in its original format and layout.
Export options
| Export | What you get |
|---|---|
| Translated document | The rebuilt file in its original format (e.g. DOCX in, DOCX out), with layout, styles, and images preserved. Edits and approvals from the editors are included. |
| The translated document rendered to PDF, matching the document layout. | |
| Plain text | Just the translated text, for pasting into other systems. |
| Original | Your uploaded source file, back unchanged. |
If you edited segments in the editors, re-export after your last approval. The rebuild always uses the current state of every segment.
Export uses the current segment text
A document export is rebuilt from the stored structure and the latest target text for every segment. Save the last edit before exporting, then inspect the downloaded file. Complex layouts can still need a final check in the program that normally opens the format.
