Document editor

Review and edit a translated DOCX in its rendered page layout, with tables, headings, images, and segment tools in view.

The Document editor shows your translated document as a document, rendered with its layout, styles, tables, and images. Click any text to edit its translation in a side panel while seeing exactly where it lives on the page. Available from the Translator Pro plan up.

When to use it over the Translation editor

• When context is visual: headings, captions, table cells, callouts: text whose correct translation depends on where it sits.
• When checking length and fit: a menu item or button label that overflows is obvious here and invisible in a segment grid.
• For a final pass: read the document the way its audience will.

How to use it

Small controls worth knowing

• Source / target view toggle: flip the whole rendered document between the original and the translation to compare layouts.
• Zoom: scale the document view up or down; useful for dense tables and small print.
• Copy source / clear: one-click buttons above the editing panel to start a segment from the source text or from scratch.
• Find & replace: the same document-wide replace as in the Translation editor.

When the document view helps

Use this view when position changes the meaning of a segment or when target text may overflow a heading, label, or table cell. It edits the same stored segments as the Translation Editor, so saved changes appear in both views.
