Smart suggestions
Complete words and phrases from the active glossary, approved termbase entries, and Translation Memory while editing a target segment.
Smart suggestions anticipate what you are about to type. After the first couple of characters of a word, a small dropdown appears at your cursor offering completions drawn from your language assets: glossary translations, approved termbase entries, and words from your translation memory. Press Enter or Tab to accept; keep typing to ignore it.
Where suggestions come from
| Badge | Source | What it offers |
|---|---|---|
| GL | Glossary | Target terms from your active glossary. Instant, matched in the browser as you type. |
| TB | Termbase | Approved terms from terminology extraction. |
| TM | Translation memory | Words from your stored translations that start with what you typed. |
Suggestions whose source term actually appears in the segment you are translating rank first. If the source sentence contains "force majeure" and your glossary has a translation for it, that suggestion tops the list.
How to use it
Just type
There is nothing to enable. Start typing a word in the target field of either editor; if your assets contain a match, the dropdown appears at the caret.
Navigate and accept
↑ and ↓ move through the list, Enter or Tab inserts the highlighted term (with a trailing space), Esc dismisses the dropdown.
Glossary suggestions work for everyone with a glossary (Starter and up). Termbase suggestions need a termbase (Freelance and up); TM suggestions come with the Translation Memory workflow (Translator Pro and up).
Suggestions come from your language assets
The dropdown only offers entries found in the language assets available to the job. It does not invent a completion. Source terms present in the current segment are ranked first so the most relevant approved wording appears near the top.
