Getting started
Quickstart
Run a first text translation or upload a first document from the dashboard.
You can translate text as soon as the dashboard opens. Document translation needs a supported file and a target language. The optional controls can be left at their defaults for a first test.
Translate your first text
Create an account and open the dashboard
Sign up at deepreference.com. You can start with a 1-month free trial of Translator Pro, no card needed. After email verification you land on the dashboard translator.
Pick your languages
Choose the source language (or leave it on auto-detect) and the target language. That's the only required setting.
Paste your text and translate
Paste into the source panel and choose Translate. The result appears in the target panel. Long text scrolls inside the panels. When automatic detection identifies a supported source language, the source-language selector updates; unsupported input shows a message.
Optional: refine with tone
Keep Standard or choose another tone above the panels. Domains apply to terminology extraction rather than translation.
Translate your first document
Upload a file
On the dashboard, choose document translation and select a DOCX, PDF, XLSX or PPTX. Set the languages and tone, then continue through the glossary, memory and summary choices. Review the settings before starting.
Watch it process
Follow the job status. Processing time depends on length, complexity and current demand. For a DOCX with live editor data, you can start reviewing once the first translated segments are available; later results appear as they finish.
Review, or just download
In Recent documents or All documents, click an available filename to open the Translation Editor. The Open dropdown contains the available editors, Download, Extract terms and Share project. Availability depends on the file, status and account plan. Editors are available on computers and tablets; phone browsers use upload and download.
Export
Use Export in the editor to save pending work and download the available output, or choose Open then Download in the document list. Inspect the downloaded file before delivery, particularly complex tables, images and page breaks. New PDF jobs support text review in the Translation Editor, not the Document Editor.
When TM saving is enabled, approved segments can be saved to the personal memory chosen in Editor resources. Check the language pair, meaning and context before reusing a match in another document.
