Terminology extraction and termbase
Find bilingual term candidates in translated documents, review them, and save approved entries to a termbase.
Terminology extraction reads a document (or a translated pair) and proposes the domain terms in it, with translations. You review the candidates, approve the ones worth keeping, and they become your termbase: a reviewed vocabulary that powers smart suggestions and can seed proper glossaries. Available from the Freelance plan up.
How to use it
Open Language assets → Terminology
Upload a document to extract from. The model identifies term candidates: the vocabulary that carries the document's meaning, not every noun.
Review the candidates
Each candidate shows the source term, the proposed translation, and how often it appears. Approve what is right, reject what is not.
Let approved terms work for you
Approved termbase entries appear in smart suggestions while you type (with the TB badge) and can be exported or promoted into a glossary.
Extraction proposes; the reviewer decides
Extraction is a starting list, not an approved glossary. It finds possible term pairs in material you have already translated and shows their frequency. Review each candidate for meaning and wording; rejected candidates are discarded, and only approved entries enter the termbase.
