A workspace that assumes you know what you are doing
Built for professional translators: a first draft you are free to disagree with, a translation memory that belongs to you, and the tools to hand a client work you are willing to sign.
Where the machine stops and you start
Much of what this workspace does is not the model. Memory reuse, glossary lookup and quality checks are deterministic software — rules you can inspect, test and switch off. The model drafts. You decide. Nothing reaches a client because a machine approved it.
| The software does | You do |
|---|---|
| Drafts a translation in the tone you choose | Read it, and change what is wrong |
| Reuses your approved segments from memory, exactly | Decide whether the reuse still fits this context |
| Sends your glossary terms with each sentence and flags missing or forbidden terms | Decide what the right term is in the first place |
| Flags numbers and punctuation that differ from the source | Decide which differences the target language needs |
| Flags numbers, tags, spacing and length problems | Judge which flags matter |
| Tells you exactly what a revision invalidated | Retranslate only what genuinely needs it |
What it gives you
Quick when the job is quick
Not every job needs a project. Paste text or drop a file, choose the language, and the translation is back in seconds. Glossaries, memory and quality checks are there when a job needs them, and out of the way when it does not.
Used to a CAT tool? You will feel at home
Editor: Starter · Translation memory: Translator ProSegments with source and target side by side, memory matches with a score, a termbase, concordance search and quality checks. The habits you built in a desktop CAT tool carry over, and so do your resources.
- Import memories in standard formats such as TMX or bilingual XLIFF
- Translate bilingual XLIFF files and open them back in your CAT tool
- Import termbases and glossaries as TBX, CSV, TSV or XLSX
- Export your memory as TMX and your glossaries as CSV whenever you want
Only ever worked in Word? Start there
Revision comparison: Freelance and upMany translators never use a CAT tool: a Word file comes in and a Word file goes out. That works here too. Upload the DOCX and download it translated, with its layout. When the client sends a revised version, as often happens with contracts and official papers in any language, compare it with the one you translated: you see what changed, only those parts are translated again, and the client gets real tracked changes in Word.
Your translation memory is yours
Translator ProImport the TMX you already have. Export it whenever you want, in full. Approved segments are reused exactly when the same source appears again, with fuzzy matches offered and scored. It is your asset, built from your work, and it leaves with you if you go.
- TMX import and export, no lock-in
- Exact and fuzzy matching with a visible score
- Concordance search across everything you have approved
A revision that tells you what it broke
Freelance and up · memory reuse: Translator ProA client sends version two. Instead of rereading the whole thing, upload it against the document you already translated: you get a redline of what changed in the source, and exactly which of your translations that revision invalidated. Untouched sentences keep their approved translation. A paragraph that only moved keeps it too.
- Thirteen classes of change, from wording to tables, notes, images and fields
- Nothing is translated, and nothing is charged, until you confirm
- A DOCX with real tracked changes, so Word's Accept and Reject work
Confidentiality you can actually promise a client
You sign NDAs. This lets you keep them. Documents are sealed in your browser before they are sent, the model runs on our own hardware in the EU, and nothing you upload ever trains anything. No outside AI company ever sees a client file.
- Encrypted in your browser before sending — even our CDN carries only ciphertext
- Self-hosted model; your text never goes to another company
- We never train on your content
Two editors, because reviewing is not one job
Editor: Starter · Document view: Translator ProThe segment editor is the CAT view: source and target side by side, memory matches, glossary hits and quality checks as you type. The document editor is the same translation in its real layout — tables, headings, images — because some mistakes are only visible on the page.
Right-to-left done properly
Arabic and Hebrew are not an afterthought. Bidirectional text is isolated correctly so Latin names and numbers do not scramble the line, and redlines put the struck text where it belongs. If you work into Arabic you already know how rare that is.
Deliverables a client recognises
Terminology: Freelance and upThe file comes back in the format it arrived in, with its formatting intact: DOCX, PDF, XLSX, PPTX. Plus a tracked-changes DOCX, a clean revised version, a redline PDF, and the change list as PDF or CSV. Terminology extracted from your reference documents, exported as a glossary or a termbase.
Starter covers glossaries and the segment editor. Freelance adds terminology extraction and revision comparison. Translator Pro adds translation memory and the document editor. Pay monthly or yearly, cancel when you like, and take your memory with you. See how it handles your documents
Try it on something real
Not a demo file — a document you actually have to deliver. That is the only test that tells you anything. If it does not save you time, it is not worth your money, and we would rather you found that out in an afternoon than in a year.
