Preparing Technical Documents for Translation

A few simple checks before upload can make technical translation easier to review.

Technical translation works best when the source document is clean and consistent. Before translating, check headings, lists, tables, units, product names, and version numbers.

Glossaries are useful for technical material because one term can carry the same meaning across manuals, specifications, training documents, and support content.

For long documents, review the translated output in stages. Check terminology first, then formatting, tables, references, and final readability.
